IC-T2H Mods

IC-T2H TX Expand with clear picture
This modification allows the IC-T2H to transmit on all the frequencies it can receive from the factory (136 - 174 MHz).
It's the same modification described by others above, I have included a clear picture to end any confusion.

Steps:
                1- Remove battery
2- Remove the black plastic sticker underneath the battery
3- Remove the foil sticker underneath the plastic sticker
4- Cut through one solder joint on the diode shown in the picture, the only tool you need for the whole
                     modification is a razor blade.
5- Put stickers and battery back on

                TX on any frequency 136 - 174MHz!

Receive 100-200 MHz

Hold down the up arrow button and the one with the speaker when the radio is off and keep them held down and turn on the radio, and then turn it off and on again with out holding down the buttons, will make the radio's receive range go from 136.000 MHz and 174.000 MHz to 100.000 MHz to 200.000 MHz.

Expand TX/RX frequency
We can not guarantee specification when expand frequency.

Expand Transmit frequency.

  • Remove the "D18 diode on Main unit.

After modification. The IC-T2 display frequency indicate between 100 MHz to 200 MHz, but it is only display. We can not guarantee PLL working range at out of HAM Band.
