 1- Remove battery and antenna.
 2- Remove 4 screws and open the radio.
 3- Separate shield & top circuit board from bottom board.
 4- Locate micriprocessor board.
 5- Tack solder a Diode 1N914 across chip diode position.
    or attach a chip diode 1SS196.
 6- Reassemble the radio.
 7- Reset the microprocessor (push and hold lamp and turn the power ON.
