                                                             TH-79 E

Hello John!
I give you this modification for TH-79 E , hoping you will put it in your
directory; be careful that all the modifications I found in your directory are
referred to the American version, while this is referred to the European one !!
Thank you!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the RIGHT way to enable X-band repeater and Answerback in the TH-79E .

The diode D403 is already missing in all European versions; if you want to have
extended RX & TX you just have to cut the green wire that you find just under
the CTCSS unit, and if you also want the X-BAND REPEATER and ANSWERBACK you
also have to cut DIODE D 406 ! Then reset the cpu and then push F and MONI for
the x-band repeater !!

The diodes are in the right bottom of the front panel, looking from the
backside : here is how they will appear after the modification.

The R502 and R402 are shown because are present near the diodes and also very
similar to them.

In my radio everything works right, but of course I won't assume responsibility
for any damage ...

I have been trying to help our ham radio with the radio modifications and have asked for any type of new radio mods.
However, I haven't received too many.  If all of you contributed a little more,  I believe I would be able to help
all the other ham's that are looking for these mods. I know it is possible to get more mods from all the Ham's because of
the wide range that exist throughout the world.  By doing this we can  flourish and enjoy more of this hobby that
we've taken part in for so many years. Furthermore, I ask you not to forget to send me any modifications that you might
have through email.  I would really appreciate it.
